Day 5 snorkel

Day 5. After breakfast, we headed out to Costco to buy a swimsuit. Can
you believe it , we couldn't find one swimsuit! When we asked the
Costco person, she just shrugged and said "Sorry, but we don't have
suits this time of year. This is wintertime". We then headed up to the
north east side of the island to snorkel. We finally found Tunnels,
where the snorkeling is pretty good. It was Sunday, so all the parking
was filled along the road. By the time we found a parking spot, we had
a half-mile walk to the snorkeling spot. The sand was very soft and
deep, so it was a real hike! It felt so good to get into the water after that hike! Todd got a great shot of a
Humuhumunukunukua'pua'a the state fish. We snorkeled until the underwater camera
broke (temporarily), then packed up and trudged back to the car. Just
one Oreo cookie in the car undid all that walking.
We drove back, stopped at Hanalei pier, where Todd took pictures of some
baby surfers. Then drove past the prettiest Episcopal church.
